Winner of the call for proposals for the Exemplary Building, and one of the first “passive” buildings built in Brussels. The building is located on a very small corner plot. It is intended for a family with several children. The project takes advantage of the unusual shape of the plot to provide four bedrooms and common areas organised around a stairwell. Natural light is captured by the street façades in all parts of the house. A large window in the main room provides views and the necessary daylight. The structure consists of prefabricated timber panels, and the façade cladding is of thermally treated poplar.
